I moved back to Canada/Toronto a few years ago after living in Manhattan for 16yrs. After such an absence my social circle was reduced to a few wonderful close friends and family. I have found the transition somewhat difficult but also have grown to appreciate the city more. I am somewhat skeptical about on-line dating but, what ever its faults, I hope the site might at least provide an outlet for healthy exchanges of e-mail and friendships if nothing else. My interests are broad and varied. Having lived in Manhattan for so long I am obviously an urbanite but I also greatly appreciate rural and natural settings. Now back in Canada I would love to get some serious canoeing done as it has been years since I last did any tripping. I have a love of sailing; I have no claim to great skill, but do have experience both single-handed and crewing, both fresh and salt water. When home bound I prefer reading and intellectual activity to television but I must admit to some viewing (30 Rock). Love the arts in all its forms and manifestations.
