I really enjoy socialising and would like to make friends with like minded individuals whose perspective on life is that the glass is half full not half empty and who enjoy laughing a lot. My closest friend moved to Spain some 2 years ago and I miss the great times we had. I am not looking for dating opportunities but for friendships.

I have not had many opportunities to build a social network and I'm quite happy to travel, within reason, to meet individuals in the same position.

Originally from West London I moved to East Yorkshire 6 years ago. I was in business management for a number of years and returned to college to train as an English tutor and subsequently taught literacy and numeracy skills to adults. I am half Spanish and as a result have a warm, tactile personality and enjoy being in the company of like minded people.

I have travelled extensively and have a very wide range of interests, including travelling, gardening, reading, music from opera to rock and every other genre in between, to name but a few.

I believe that people should not be judged on their colour, creed or social standing, but rather on their ability to connect with others.

I have a very young approach to life as it's not the numbers that count but the attitude to life.
