also i would like to add, if it were just men on this earth, then it would be normal way of life, same as if it were just women, there nothing or nobody else to tell us any different, but it's not is it? again dont get me wrong here, if my son's or daughter came home to me one day and said mum i am gay, i would be very proud of them for coming to that dissision on there own, without tv or the media shoving it down there throat, the first thing i would do is give them a great big hug, and tell them if you are happy then i am happy, i would NOT treat them any different, because its a very hard dission to make to tell family and friends, and i would'nt love them any less, but if they want to disscuss or debate about i would'nt change my point of view. but at the same time i will tell them as im telling you, thats just my opinion, i dont want you to be anything you are not just to please every body else.... |

well all i can say to that really lain is, all you or other people that think the way you do is quite disturbing, to say that a ( child ) should make up there own mind about sexualitiy with the same sex is absurd, yes gay and lesbian people are much more excepted into todays society then ever before, but i'm sure your ancesters like mine are turning in there grave, it just aint right, why do you think man and woman was put on this earth? to create, two men or two women cannot create life with out the help of another party, i have had this discussion with my gay friends, and they think along the lines i do, it dont mean i hate gays or lesbians far from it, it's just debating our own veiws, so the more we do talk about these things , the more WE as straight people might be able to understand.and may be one day feel less threatened, or repulsed buy the difference in people. |

of course, by hiding the fact that other people have different orientations, it becomes much harder for someone to come out of the closet when they are ready.....
If you really object to children being given other points of view, then I feel sorry for them! let people choose for themselves - let them see that gay or straight is perfectly ok - so that they can make up their own mind and not have to fear bigotry and hatred from people who can not cope with love in its many different forms! |

not at all lain, i'm just proving a point , that everyone has a right to there views, but it dont mean that you should'nt be yourself regardless what I or any one else thinks. so if you are happy in yourself gay or straight then thats all that matters. and yes I DO have a problem with too much gay and lesbian scenes on tv, it's hard enough for children to grow up in this world already, without the added pressure for them to rush out of the closet, when some children experience same sex thoughts its part of growing up, but with all whats on tv now day's they dont know what to be. if i offend then i apologise to you all, but i only speak my mind. |

"do i need to say anymore really."
No, I think you have exposed your bigotry quite enough for one day!
I have no problem with other people expressing their love in public or on screen - gay or straight!
You would not hide the fact of your sexuality - heck, you probably parade your children around as if that was some kind of achievement! So, why should people who's preferences are different to you, have to hide their sexuality?
Life is to short to worry about other peoples love lifes! |

I dont think there is anything wrong with being gay or lesbian, what i do think is wrong is that its thrown in all our faces, it is man and woman in my eyes, i do have gay friends and i respect them, and they are the very few that respect me enough to keep that in private. i also think there is too much gay and lesbian stuff on t.v, i think it makes the children very very confused in life, i have explained to my kids about gay and lesbainship, they are 14,11,8 every one of them is disturbed by it and think its gross. do i need to say anymore really. |
