Hi Elizabeth...Yes I know what you mean about time getting away. I dont seem to have enough hours in the day myself. And iit is slowly getting warmer over here. Summer is official the beginning of DEC. so hope to have a little more heat by them. I'm sure it doesnt last as long as it used to though. As for my family...hold your breathe....I have 9 kids. Holy heck you say. Well not quite as bad as all that..3 i inherited when I remarried and I had 2 to my present hubby. I already had 4 at that stage. All grown up now and with families of there own. I enjoy a lot of time on my computer and when not here Im found out in my garden. My hubby does all the cooking here so I enjoy that bit. Gives me more time to be outdoors. He doesnt like gardening at all so we swapped what would normally be referred to as womens work. Been like that now since we got together almost 30 yrs ago. Keep up with the writings. I know of a lady who has been trying for years to get her works published. She's had articles in magazines and newspapers but has never quite got that ellusive book accepted by the publishers. She now does a lot of writing for a chat site and it is lovely to read about all the things she has got up to in the 71 yrs of her life. So she sure isnt giving up on her dream as yet. As usual time is short so must away. My day is just beginning here and I have a little one staying with me for two days. Wow, how I would love to be 19 mths old again and have my grandma running after me all the time lol. Take care.....Faye
And to everyone else, where are you all. I thought the change in the weather might see you all back at your computers. Oh well, I guess the snows will come soon enough and we will see you all.....xx

Hi Faye. I've been very neglectful of my computer over the last few weeks and now I make time to visit it, I find I have numerous emails etc to answer. My fault entirely! I just don't know where the time goes. Anyway, lovely to hear from you. I expect it is a lot warmer in New Zealand at the moment than it is here in the UK. I have the gas heating on all day and I'm still freezing. I really don't like the cold.
I've just realised that I know very little about you. Can you please fill me in e.g. have you any children, hobbies etc.
I like entering competitions and I like writing stories, particularly children's stories. I've had about 6 of these published in magazines and I would love to have a book published one day before I pop my clogs.
I'm going to stay with my brother and sister-in-law in Wales this weekend and going to a mutual friend's 70th birthday party, which I'm looking forward to. It's nice to meet up with everyone again.
Looking forward to hearing from you again in due course.
Love, Elizabeth

Hi Elizabeth...Nice to see you again. I dont blame you for wanting to gt away out of it over the holiday period. We also are wanting to get out of it for Xmas. Our camper is all finished and redy to go...just have to wait for the time to come round now. Guarantee they will wait til just before Christmas to do your alteration...anything to make life difficult. I swear every year to do my Christams shopping from Jan. oneards but never seem to get it done. End up with a last minute rush then. I only buy for the local crew and make sweets up for the kids that might call in from out of town. Sure couldnt afford to give all the kids presents with so many of them. All else is going well if somewhat quiet but just the way i like it right now. Will catch up next time. Bye....xxx

Welcome to Raymond if he's still with us. I've been busy since coming home from Florida catching up on things and getting back into my routine. On top of that the builders are here painting the outside and they're going to be putting in a new bathroom some time - hopefully not before Christmas. I'm trying to finish my Christmas shopping. I had hoped to have it all done and dusted before the end of October, but that doesn't look very likely now. Have been planning a trip to Blackpool with three friends over New Year. We went last year as well as none of us like being home at that time - so depressing! Well, hope you're all well and I look forward to hearing from all/any of you soon.
Love, Elizabeth x

Hi Raymond and welcome to our thread. Its a bit slow right now but with Winter coming to your part of the world I am hoping it will all come together again. In the meantime those of us who come here can talk to you. Must admit though even I am a bit slack on it some of the time.
To everyone else...come on guys get butts in here. You must have done something over the Summer we can all chat about.
Now I am going to sit back and enjoy a lovely Spring while you all wallow in the Autumn and the coming Winter lol. Love and Hugs to all...Faye xx

Nice to see you had a good time Elizabeth. And that the weather was so nice. I hate going away from home for too long but when I do go off on holiday I usually find the weather turns to crap and I'm pleased to come home.We do a bit of camping so it makes it a bit tedious and uncomfortable.
Our nasty lady finally got evicted from the chat site. Gosh, I don't know why they have to be like that. Its a great site and just one person can ruin it for those who like to go for a chat and a laugh and maybe a bit of support or a friendly ear.It is now a better place.
Took the day off computing yesterday. Had to make some curtains. I hate sewing now as my eyes wont let me thread the needle on the sewing machine, but it is a job that just had to be done.So the machine is now packed away and prob. wont come out again. Darn thing is nearly as old as I am anyway but it still seems to work good. My kids arent interested in having it so I just keep it here. They are sure to want something done on it one day and I'm sure I can show them how to use it LOL
Not a lot in the way of news right now. Will catch up next time..Love and hugs to all...Faye xx

Hello Averil and Faye and everyone. I've just come back from a two week holiday in Disneyworld, Florida and have thoroughly enjoyed myself. The weather was gorgeous (35 degrees) so it was a shock to return to Manchester this morning to rain and temperature of only 8 degrees. I am SO tired, but will be right as rain tomorrow after a good night's sleep. Sorry to read about that bullying woman, Faye. What is wrong with people? Isn't it so much easier to be nice and friendly? I think so! I have come back to a mountain of mail and my suitcase needs unpacking, then there's the washing to do. Never mind, I am going to ignore it all and go to bed. Tomorrow is another day. Take care, Elizabeth x x

OMG.relegated to another page. It is so long since anyone has been here. Where are you all on this beautiful Spring day...well not really so beautiful. It is cool and threatening rain. I'm having a moment of my own right now so come here for some quiet and sanity. The quiet is here alright but where are all you sane people. LOL Having a tough time in the chat room site i belong to again. Have a member who has been asked to leave and she won't. Looks like Admin. may have to come in and evict her himself. She's a bit of a trouble maker having been evicted already from one site and now she has begun bullying people on this one. And these are supposed to be people over 50....i guess we are just too soft and allow it to happen. I got up in arms because she was bullying and being very nasty to a very sweet elderly lady who sits and says nothing unless she has a point to put across. Shame on her. Oh well, guess life isnt made to be easy for any of us. In protest at her not being removed I have left the site...don't need that sort of thing right now. Now I have vented I will go and hope some of you return very soon. Will catch up then. Bye all and be well....xx
